Ibrahim Magu the past acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC that was suspended has asked for pardon on detention from the acting Inspector General Of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu, as his case continue.
While Magu has been in detention since on Monday when he was alleged for corruption and fraudulent issue.
He contact the IGP through his lawyer, Oluwatosin Ojaomo, lately on Friday stating on a letter that he requested to be bail on the issue of “self-recognisance”. While his suspension has been already approve by the President Muhammudu Buhari and is bring carry out my an retired appeal court judge, Ayo Salami, and his subordinate.
Magu was alleged of Re looting of recovered funds from the criminal and scams, by the AGF Abubakar Malami. And he is being held my the government while panel are scanning his properties.
Oluwatosin Ojaomo, stated to the IGP in his letter that Magu has denied all the allegations that’s was said against him by the panel and that of the AGF Abubakar. He also stated that they will always provide Magu after he has been bail out any time his attention was needed in the court.
While the IGP didn’t accept the bail on self Recognisance.
